Grange Resources Co., Ltd is a holding subsidiary company of Shagang Group, headquartered in Bernie City, Tasmania. At present, its main projects include Savage River Project which is in production operation and the South Down Project which has not been developed yet. The Savage River Project is located in the north of Tasmania, Australia. As an opencast magnetite, there are about 323 million tons of resources, and 188 million tons of storage can be exploited until 2028. The recent Prefeasibility Study presents a standalone underground case that informs the decision to transition from open pit to an underground mine in the future. Demonstrated ore continuity at depth with a 30% (approximately 120 million tonne) increase in Mineral Resources. Potential 6 million tonne per annum production rate with an underground mine life of more than 10 years.This project contains concentrating mill, concentrate upgrading plant, 83 thousands meters of conveying pipeline, pelletizing plant in the Port Latta and auxiliary facilities of ports. The current production of this project is around 2.6million tons of blast furnace pellets and 2.5million tons of refined powder. Reserve of resource of the South Down Project is about 1.5 billion tons and it is estimated that the annual production will be 10 million tons of iron ore when it goes into production after finished.
