Jiangsu Shagang Group Co., Ltd Physical and Chemical Testing Center ( hereinafter referred to as “Physical and Chemical Testing Center”) is the secondary legal entity of Jiangsu Shgang Group Co., Ltd, its mainly engaged in the entering inspection for coal, iron alloy, lime etc. different kinds of accessories, the review and check for the analysis results from the iron-making and steel-making processing, assessment of steel product and non-metal material and other external business from provincial commission.

The predecessor of Physical and Chemical Testing Center lab is Jiangsu Shagang Group Co., Ltd General Testing Laboratory who was established in 1984. As going along with the enterprise development, also continue to strength to the requirement of analysis and detection means, so the laboratory is equipped with a few large advanced equipments in succession and further expanding the area of the lab test. Parallel with the development of the lab, the center lab attaches great importance to the cultivation of talents, it emphasizes on the way of “lectures communication and study tour”, encourage talents to stand out from the crowd, gradually built a skillful team on the chemical analysis, mechanics performance test, metallographical analysis, environmental analysis and analytical instruments development, application and maintenance etc.

In 2002, Physical and Chemical Testing Center established an effective laboratory quality management and quality guarantee system based on the corresponding requirements from ISO/IEC 25：1990 General Requirements for Calibration and Calibration Laboratory Capacity and CCIBLAC Review Requirements to Laboratory Basic Ability, and was certified as the National Laboratory in 2004.

Physical and Chemical Testing Center consist of five (5) dedicated testing & analyzing laboratories and comprehensive management offices i.e. mechanical testing, metallographic examination, chemical analysis, coke/coal testing, environmental testing, etc. All of staff has certain education levels, corresponding professional & technical knowledge and rich experience, also have been necessary trained and examined against their work relationship.

There are more than 300 sets of equipments for sample preparation and testing with an original value of more than 50 million RMB, the office and testing area over 4500 square meters. The main analytical equipments have all been imported from abroad, such as X-ray fluorescence spectrometer（PW2403、ARL Perform’X、ARL 9900 ）、Direct reading spectrometer（PDA-8000、ARL 4460）、Plasma atomic emission spectroscopy（ICAP6000、ICAP 7000）、Infrared carbon and sulfur analyzer（HCS140、EMIA-20E、DK-606A）、Gas analyzer（TC500、CHN 2000、EMGA-930 O2,N2,H2 Determinater, TN-306 Azotometer）, Metallurgical microscope（OLYMPUS BX51M、ZEISS Axio Imager A2m）、Scanning electron microscope（ZEISS EVO18+ OXFORD EDS）、Hardness tester（HR521 Rockwell hardness tester、HV100 Vickers hardness tester）, Ion Chromatograph（Aquion）, Electronic universal testing machine（Instron 2000KN、Instron 1200KN、600KN、300LX）、Drop weight impact test machine（Instron 8150、9250）,Automatic Oscillographic Impact Testing Machine（zwick PSW750）,Automatic sample feeding impact Testing Machine（Shenzhen Wance PIT602H-3）,Automatic Tensile Testing Machine（zwick Z100、Z050）,Automatic Tensile Testing Machine（Shanghai Shenli WAW-1000Z）, etc.

All these equipments are all adhered to the regular maintenance and traceability checks, their abilities conform to the requirements of the laboratory testing configuration.
